Shop & Grooming Policies

General Shop
  • All customers are fully responsible for their dog(s) while in our shop and must be fully in control of their dog(s) at all times.  

  • We welcome all breeds to our shop, but if your dog shows signs of aggression toward other dogs, customers or staff, you will be asked to muzzle your dog or remove it from the shop. This is for the safety of our customers (both human and canine) and staff.

  • If you, your dog, or your child damage retail items or any of the store's fixtures, the cost of each item will need to be fully reimbursed to the shop. This includes damage resulting from leg-lifting and marking.

  • Children of all ages are welcome. If your child is holding the leash of a dog, you must ensure the child maintains control of the animal.

Grooming Services
  • All dogs receiving grooming services must have current Rabies and Distemper vaccinations. This is for the safety of our groomers and no exceptions can be made.  

  • We schedule appointments with the expectation of an on-time arrival. When a customer is 15 minutes or more tardy, we have the right to refuse service that day and reschedule the appointment to another day and time convenient for both parties. This is to ensure we are able to service our other clients at their scheduled appointment times.

  • We have a 48 hour cancelation policy. If a grooming appointment is canceled less than 48 hours prior to the appointment or a customer is a no-show for a grooming appointment and attempts to rebook with us, we will need to take a credit card at the time of booking for the second appointment. The fee for further last-minute cancelations and/or no-shows is the cost of the dog's grooming ($50+) per occurrence. Management reserves the right to refuse attempted re-bookings from any client with a history of last-minute cancelations, no-shows, and/or tardiness.

  • We work to have your pup done in a timely and comfortable manner and we ask that you please be respectful of our pick up and closing times. We have a 1 hour courtesy pick-up window for all dogs; if you arrive after that time to pick up, there is a $25/hour fee. If you arrive after our closing time to pick up your dog, there is a $35 fee in addition to the hourly fee. If a dog is left overnight, a $250 fee will be assessed.

  • Tips are always appreciated for our professional groomers. We accept cash or checks for tips.

Self-Wash Bays
  • We are a family-friendly shop, but youngsters under 13 must be supervised by their parents at all times. Any minor under the age of 13 is not permitted to operate a self-wash independently.

  • Shampoo is provided for your self-wash service and needs to be left in the store at the conclusion of the bath. Kindly refrain from taking the bottles you are given for the wash.

  • A staff member at the front desk will lead you to a bay for your pup's wash. We ask that family members do not take additional dogs to other bays to wash them, as other guests who arrive will then need to wait.

  • We recommended allowing at least 30 minutes to properly dry and bathe your pup, thus the self-wash tubs are closed down 30 minutes prior to our closing time.

By entering our shop with your dog, you signify your adherence to these policies and hold Soggy Doggy Shop and it's employees and owners harmless should your dog cause harm to another animal or customer, or should you, your family, or your dog be harmed by another customer or customer's dog.
